A Portrait of an
Artist![]() A native Southern Californian, Kim grew up in and around Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, California where art, artists and gift shops abound. In 1974, she learned how to make stained glass works of art mostly windows, lamps and interior hanging windows. In 1988, Kim along with her husband and daughter relocated to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands from Westlake Village, Ventura County, California. Kim's stained glass has been shown in art exhibits as well as gift shops and stores, although she mostly does work on a special order basis.
In the last few years, Kim has completed several pieces of stained glass, including exterior entry lanterns, hurricane lanterns, windows and hanging windows, and interior lamp shades. Some of Kim’s newest work has 3-D effects, due to layering or adding pieces which extend out from a standard flat (framed) panel.
